Iām the dad of three incredible kids ā Iāve walked with them from diapers through college, marriage, and now kids of their own. Growing up without a healthy example of fatherhood, I realized when my kids were born I was just winging itā hoping love and good intentions would be enough. So IĀ began to study fatherhood, meet with dads, and parent with intention.
My Ph.D. explored identity formation in children and adolescents, and 25 years of pastoral ministry gave me a front-row seat to the joys, struggles, and fears fathers experience. Again and again, I heard the same question: What do my kids really need from me as a dad?
That question became the heart behind Father Friend ā helping dads have clarity and intention in their influence and relationship with their children.
